Google tests showing clipboard icons next to search suggestions for recipes queries

Google is testing showing little clipboard icons next to suggestions for recipe-related searches. When you begin typing your query in Google, Google shows you suggestions of keyword phrases that you might be looking for. These are called search suggestions.

In this test, you can see on the right side of the search suggestions are little clipboard icons. Here is a picture from Search Engine Land reader Alex Cassidy:

Google said it was a test, but had no further comment.

What does this feature do?

It is unclear what the clipboard icon does or symbolizes. It might signal a new feature that lets you save the recipe related to the suggestion to a special recipe section, but that is  speculation.

What should I do?

Well, at this point, nothing. But if Google does release a feature that let’s searchers clip recipes, ranking for those recipes would be important for webmasters. Google does have recipe markup for search and one would suspect the markup will be expanded to support any new features.

Google  announced  some important changes to how user management and rights work within the  Google Search Console . Here are the important changes happening now and in the near future: All users, no matter if they only have the lowest level of permissions or the highest, will be able to see critical site messages. Google added better history tracking to show which individual performed which significant property-affecting modifications. These modifications include changes such as changing a setting, validating an issue or submitting a new sitemap. The new Search Console enables you to share a read-only view of many reports, including Index coverage, AMP, and Mobile Usability. A new user management interface enables all users to see and manage (if they have rights to do so) user roles for all property users. A simpler permission model where Google will limit the “restricted” user role to read-only status. Read-only users will no longer be able to perform any state-changing...
